Ben Filipkowski

Ben has been playing guitar since he was a kid, always learning songs and writing his own. After joining the Audio Tech program at NMC, he picked up piano, got deep into music production , and developed a passion for electronic music. Naturally he was quick to get a DJ controller and hone his craft.
No two weddings are the same, and that’s exactly what Ben enjoys about it. Every crowd is different, and he enjoys picking up on those little cues so that when the big moment hits, it really hits. For him, that’s when the night really takes off.
When it comes to music, Ben is all about intention, blending what each couple loves with his own style to make the night feel elevated and seamless. When he’s not behind the decks, he works as a photographer and at a local winery, and spends his free time at the gym or in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Why do you live in Northern Michigan and what do you enjoy about the area?
I moved up to Northern Michigan with my family in 2021 and it just clicked. The natural beauty up here is unreal! Beach days, lake drives, and finding new spots to catch the sunset never gets old. There’s something about being near the water that resets you. It’s calm, but it keeps you inspired too.
