FOUNDER, DJ/MC

Scott founded 2Bays DJs, while at Michigan State University, with ambitions to amplify celebrations among his friends. After college Scott moved home to Traverse City to shift from the life of the frat party to melding lifelong memories as a wedding DJ.

Scott’s 96 year old grandpa ends every prayer with the phrase “and may we be ever mindful of the needs of others” and Scott tries to put that principle into practice at work.

“If I can be attentive to the small details of a wedding, it allows for the bride and groom to foster more genuine connections with their guests, before the music even starts. To me, that’s what its all about, celebrating love, and laying a foundation for more love down the line.”

With 15 years of experience entertaining at weddings, he’s happy to help guide clients through the planning process so together, we can hit high notes in all the right places.

When he’s not playing music Scott loves to explore foreign dance floors with his wife, Hannah, discover new trails on a one-wheel with his dog, Trudy, or get lost trying to understand computer code.

We had an AMAZING party with DJing from 2Bays DJs. Perfect ambiance, music selection, and incredible vibe. Everyone was on the dance floor, and Scott could not have been nicer!! Highly recommend 2Bays DJs!!

This is not the cheapest DJ in the area, but I'm telling you to 100% splurge for it and you won't be disappointed. They turned our wedding into an absolutely party. The transitions between songs were fun and well executed. They did a great job reading the dance floor for what song to play next to get people out on the floor. We had at least 10 people come up to us during the reception asking who the DJ was and commenting it was the best wedding DJ they've experienced (and our friends go to a ton of weddings =)!)

We had Scott as our DJ for our wedding June 1st and could not have been more happy with his work! He was all smiles throughout the entire night and even with a more conservative non-dancing group of guests, managed to have everyone up and dancing until the very end! Although he took song requests, it really wasn't necessary because everything played was on point. I would definitely recommend 2Bays DJS to anyone!
